    Hi Jennifer,

I will explain how it worked in my case.

Sowing should take place in April when the soil temperature reaches 12 °C. Maize requires deep, relaxed and compression-free soils that are rich in organic matter and have good drainage. Typically, a preceding turning soil tillage operation is carried out before drilling, as compacted layers in the first 40 cm of the soil should be avoided.

A deep, loose seedbed is required for good development. Maize seed should be drilled into moisture to a uniform depth of around 5 cm. The crop can easily adapt to soils with a pH between 6 and 7. At sowing, the distance from grain to grain within the row depends on the row widths. Regarding the sowing density, 92.000-110.000 seeds/ha is recommended for mild regions (depending on the variety and conditions). During soil preparation, NPK fertilizer with micro-elements is recommended based on the results of soil analysis.
For sure, it depends on your location and other factors.

I hope this will help you.

    Best regards,
    John Moore
