      – The different sowing, harvest, and treatment time points than cereals allow for a better distribution of work on a big farm.
      – Including oilseed rape in the rotation increases the yield of the following crop by 10% in comparison to a cereal monoculture due to the improvement of soil structure.
      – It is a very versatile crop and all parts of the plant can be utilized. Not only is there a market for the seed oil, but also by-products of processing the oil can be used as protein-rich animal feed. Additionally, dried stalks can be used as domestic fuel.
      – Including oilseed rape in the rotation allows farmers to easily fulfill the common agricultural policy of the European Union.
      – It can be included in both dry-farming as well as irrigation systems.
